Although we are reluctant to admit it, most of us know that our knowledge of Gods Word is not what it should be. No doubt we have all struggled to put biblical events into historical perspective, but despite our best endeavours, we end up in the wrong place with the wrong people during the wrong time period!
We may have been discouraged from studying theology because we cannot understand the terms or are unaware of what the true issues are.
It may be that we are unable to adequately articulate the finer points of the Christian faith, dialogue effectively with those from other faiths, cults and sects or generally present the Truth with confidence and skill.
If you are serious about your faith, these are all circumstances with which you will readily identify. Just two sermons on a Sunday and a midweek prayer meeting and Bible study cannot fill such learning gaps.
